The City
Phuket city is located southeast of Phuket Island, Thailand. It is known to be the capital of Phuket province that covers the entire island. The city has been recorded to have a population of 75,573 people. The city encompasses the sub districts of Talad Nauea and Talad Yai which can be found in Mueang Phuket district. It is also popular to many foreigners because of its wonderful beaches. However, Phuket city is not about beaches alone. There are still a lot of interesting things that the city could offer to the visitors. What Phuket boasts most is the unique blend of modern and old, simple and sophisticated, aggressive and peaceful in its city life. There are a lot of activities that are usually round the clock. You can witness monks waking up very early in the morning and walk to the streets for their alms for the day as well as people going to the market to shop for ingredients for the foods that they will cook. At night time, disco bars and other night clubs are being filled with people who wanted to party.

Airport
Phuket International Airport is the airport that serves the Province of Thailand. It is situated in the northern part of Phuket Island and 32 km from the center of Phuket city. It has coordinates of 08°06′48″N 098°19′01″E / 8.11333°N 98.31694°E / 8.11333; 98.31694. This airport is very significant in promoting tourism in Thailand. It is considered as the second busiest airport in Thailand next to Suvamabhumi Airport in Bangkok metropolitan area.

There is also the Phuket Fantasea which is considered as the ultimate theme park in the city. General Information
An estimated 70 percent of is composed of mountains. The highest peak in the city is Mai Tha Sip Sing. It means “Twelve Canes” in English. The height of this is around 529 meters. This is located between the borderlines of Tambon Patong, Kathu District.
Weather
Phuket has three known seasons, the cool season, hot season, and the rainy season. The cool season is actually a little bit hot while the hot season is very hot, and the rainy season to be hot and wet. The cool season starts from the month of November and ends on February. The hot season on the other hand lasts from March to early May. Lastly, the rainy season happens for the months of September and October. Generally, it is very warm in Phuket for the entire year and the average annual temperature is between 24-34 degrees Celsius.
