- Oktoberfest – One of the most popular beer festivals. Selling beer, German goods and German products and is known for family entertainment such as carnival games and fun park rides.

General Information
Munich is six hours ahead of U.S. Eastern Standard Time and the currency used is the Euro. Munich has and excellent public transport system consisting of trams, buses, an underground system and S-Bahn trains. Hiring a car to get around the city is a waste of money, finding available parking is a nightmare. It is only recommended to hire a car if you want to explore the surrounding lakes and mountains.
Weather
Munich has continental weather with definite seasons. Summers are warm with frequent thunderstorms in the evenings. Winters are very cold, wet and usually snow covered during December and January. Summer and spring is the best time to visit Munich when you can enjoy warm weather and beautiful sunsets.
