General Information
France is six hours ahead of U.S. Eastern Standard Time and the currency used is the euro. The best way to see Paris is by hopping onto a bus. Other affordable options for transport include the Metro, RER trains and Taxis. Hiring a car is not the best option because parking is very difficult to find, rather opt for renting a bicycle or a motor scooter. Wear comfortable shoes and carry a travel umbrella with you because Paris is known for its unexpected rain showers any time of year.

The perfect time of year to visit Paris is spring (March through May) and autumn (September through November) this is when the weather is at its best. Paris summers are hot and humid and most of the locals go cool off at the seaside.
