Brazil boasts with about 2 500 airports, which includes landing fields. These landing fields altogether accumulate the second largest in the world.
São Paulo-Guarulhos International Airport is Brazil’s largest and busiest airport and handles the majority of commercial traffic of Brazil. The airport connects the city with almost all the major cities across the world. The airport is located about 25 km from Downtown São Paulo.
Recife Airport is Brazil’s 9th busiest airport and is located in the city of Recife in the northeast part of Brazil.

General Info
Brazil’s predominant faith is Roman Catholicism with Protestantism the second biggest faith. The country’s main language is Portuguese due to the Portuguese influence and the strong colonial ties with the Portuguese empire. The country spans over three time zones from UTC-4 to UTC-2. The main currency used in Brazil are the Real, which is divided into 100 centavos and is depicted by a “R$” sign, e.g. R$1.50 (one real and fifty centavos)
Climate
Due to size of Brazil together with the wide variety of topography, Brazil comprises a wide range of weather conditions while most of the country is tropical. Brazil has five climate subtypes namely equatorial, tropical, semiarid, highland tropical, temperate and subtropical.
The equatorial climate is found in northern Brazil, which has no real dry season with variations in rainfall. Temperatures average about 25˚C with significant temperature variations between night and day than seasons.
Central Brazil has a more seasonal rainfall, which is a characteristic of savanna climate while the south has a rainfall throughout the year with temperate conditions, which has cool winters not exceeding 18˚C with occasional snowfall in the higher areas.

Rio de Janeiro is the second largest city in Brazil and the most visited city in the southern hemisphere. The city is known for its natural settings, balneario beaches, carnivals, Bossa Nova and dances like the samba and salsa.
