General Information
Sydney is 14 hours ahead of U.S. Eastern Standard Time and the currency used is the Australian Dollar. In general, Sydney enjoys good weather all year round. Summer temperatures average at 25°C and winter temperatures at 17°C. Rainfall peaks during summer and autumn with winter and spring being drier seasons. March and April or September and October are the best times to visit. This is when most of the tourists are gone and the weather is warm and sunny.
