Weather
Glasgow is one of Scotland’s milder areas, although, you might not think so; the reason for this is the warming effect of the Gulf Stream Drift. Spring is from March to May when all the trees in Glasgow are in bloom. Summer days (May to September) are mild and warm. July is the warmest month with temperatures averaging at 20°C. Winters are damp and cold.
General Info
Glasgow is on Greenwich Mean Time and the currency used is the British pound sterling.
Glasgow’s public transport system is excellent and includes buses, subways, trams, and trains. Taxis are plentiful and the taxi drivers are friendly and talkative. If you plan to rent a car and driving around yourself, please ensure you have a good road map. Glasgow is laden with one-way streets and you can easily get lost.
