Weather

The west and south parts of Norway experience more precipitation and milder winters than the southeastern part of the country. The lowlands, especially around Oslo, experience warm and sunny summers but also cold winters and even snow can be expected.

Due to the high latitude of Norway, the sun never completely descends during the summertime and will experience about 20 hours of daylight. Wintertime, the sun rarely rises above the horizon making daylight hours very short.
