Iberia

History

Iberia Airlines,incorporated in June 1927, is the largest airline of Spain and based in Madrid. On 25 April 2010, it was confirmed that British Airways and Iberia had agreed to a merger, forming the International Airlines Group, although each airline would continue to operate under its current brand. The merger between the two carriers will create the world's third-largest airline in terms of revenue.

Iberia Airlines currently flies to 38 domestic destinations and 82 international destinations in 44 countries across Africa, Americas, Asia and Europe.

The Iberia fleet consisted of 116 aircraft as of July 2010. In October 2010, the average age of the Iberia fleet was 7.8 years.

Iberia Airlines allows a maximum weight per case of 23 Kg.

  • Business Plus – 3 standard items
  • Business Class (Full Tourist / Excursion Tourist / Business fares) – 2 standard items
  • Economy Tourist – 1 standard item

Weight allowed on-board

The maximum size must be 55cm x 40cm x 20cm (115 cm), including handle, pockets and wheels and the maximum weight allowed for hand luggage is 8 kg.
