History
Emirates Airline is the largest airline in the Middle East. It is the national airline of Dubai.The first flight of Emirates airline was from Dubai to Karachi on 25 October 1985.

Emirates operates over 2,400 passenger flights per week from its hub at Dubai International Airport to 105 cities in 62 countries across six continents.

Fleet
Emirates operates one of the youngest fleets in the world and with regular upgrades provide their passengers with a superior flight experience. Their average fleet age was 5.9 years in July 2010.
In September 2010 Emirates’ fleet consisted of 144 aircrafts with 196 on order. Emirates plans to have over 320 aircraft by 2018, and some reports suggest that the airline will have more than 400 aircraft in its fleet by 2020.
Baggage
Emirates has one of the world’s most generous baggage policies.
- Economy Class – 30 kg
- Business Class – 40 kg
- First Class – 50 kg
Weight allowed on-board
- First Class and Business Class customers are permitted two pieces of carry-on baggage: one briefcase plus either one handbag or one garment bag. The briefcase may not exceed 145 x 35 x 20 cm; the handbag may not exceed 55 x 38 x 20 cm; the garment bag can be no more than 20 cm thick when folded. The total combined weight of both pieces may not be more than 12 kg.
- Economy Class customers are permitted one piece of carry-on baggage that may not exceed 55 x 38 x 20 cm and must weigh no more than 7 kg.
