General Kulula Information
Fleet
Mango airline's fleet is rather small, flying four eco-friendly new-generation Boeing 737-800's. These aircrafts carry 186 passengers, all seated in leather seats for more comfort.
Checking-in and Boarding
Mango has started with a new Ticketless Travel Service which eliminates traditional paper tickets by creating an electronically held record of your transactions. This system is convenient, fast and safe. You still need to have a printout of your itinerary receipt and valid photo identification like your ID book, your passport or a valid drivers license. You will then be given a boarding pass to go through airport security to the boarding gates.
Seating
Mango's aircrafts each have three adjacent seats on either side of the aisle. They do not offer pre-seating as seating is assigned at time of airport check-in prior to flight departure. Medically unfit passengers or those travelling with infants, are not allowed to sit near emergency exit rows for safety reasons.
Children and Infants
Infants must sit on an adults lap. Infants must be older than seven days and younger than two years of age. Remember to bring their birth certificate along to the check-in counter as proof of their exact age. Children younger than twelve years of age must be accompanied by a person of at least sixteen years old.
Baggage
Passengers onboard a Mango flight are allowed to have two pieces of luggage, not exceeding 20kg (10kg for infants) and one carry-on luggage, not exceeding 7kg.In addition to carry-on luggage, a passenger may carry aboard a handbag, pocketbook, overcoat, wrap, umbrella, walking stick, camera, binoculars and reading material for the flight. Valuables such as laptops, medication, keys and juwellery should be placed in your carry-on luggage.
Passengers with Special Needs
Passengers who require individual attention or assistance during a flight, due to their physical, metal or medical condition, are advised to state their condition when making a reservation. The staff at Mango then categorises the special needs passengers into one of the following 14 groups to plan their seating for that specific flight:
1. General medical cases
2. Guests requiring oxygen
3. Guests requiring a wheelchair
4. Blind guests
5. Deaf/Hearing Impaired Guests
6. Elderly guests
7. Diabetic guests
8. Pregnant guests
9. Stretcher Cases
10. Baby Bassinettes
11. Mentally Disabled Guests
12. Unaccompanied Minors
13. Young Guests
14. Infants
