1 Time Airlines
The name of the company, "one time!†is a South African expression meaning "for real!".

History
In January 2004, 1Time commenced ticket sales and started flying on February 25, 2004 with three daily return flights between Johannesburg and Cape Town. During 2006 1Time carried more than a million passengers to eight destinations.

Fleet
1Time operates a fleet of eight MD80 type aircraft. The MD 80 is a stage 3 generation craft within the family of DC9 aircraft. The DC/MD80 family of aircraft is one of the sagest and most reliable family of commercial jet airliners. Their high utilization is one of the secrets to consistently offering the lowest fares.
Baggage - Weight allowed onboard
Each passenger is allowed to take one small piece onboard, weighing a maximum of 5 kg and checked baggage is limited to 20kg. Excess baggage will be charged at R20 per additional kilogram carried.
In-flight baggage restrictions
You are not allowed to carry any sharp instruments like nail scissors, clippers or knives in your hand luggage. These items must be in your checked in baggage. Baggage liability is limited to US$20 per kilogram of checked baggage. No liability will be accepted for valuable, fragile or perishable items (cash, cards, cheques, jewelery, documents, cameras, laptops and cell phones) in your checked baggage. No firearms are allowed for travel. Pets are not accepted as baggage and may not travel in the cabin of the aircraft. Only guide dogs are allowed in the cabin if previous arrangements have been made.
Seating
The passenger cabins are designed for passenger comfort and convenience. The MD82 and MD83 have 157 seats and the MD87 has 132, mostly leather seats providing the best legroom for an economy class product on the South African Domestic market.
Special needs
Bookings for special needs passengers must be made via the call centre. During the booking process wheelchairs may be arranged for passengers to be used inside the airport terminals and to and from the aircraft. If the passenger is not able to ascend/descend stairs with assistance, a passenger aid unit can be arranged. This option is only available to selected flights, due to operational constraints. Passengers with special needs who have made no prior arrangements may be refused carriage.
Checking-in and Boarding
Ticketless
1Time has its own ticketless check-in counters. You only need proof of identity and your unique booking reference number to check in for your flight.
Check In
Check in desks open 2 hours before scheduled departure time and close 30 minutes prior to departure for domestic flights and 45 minutes before departure for regional flights. The advised check in time is 90 minutes before departure. Boarding closes 20 minutes prior to departure.
eCheck-In
eCheck-In allows passengers to check in for their flights and choose their seats within 24 hours of scheduled departure. The cut-off time for eCheck-In is 3 hours prior to scheduled departure. This service is available for passengers traveling with hand luggage ONLY. Passengers who are traveling with infants or who require assistance must check-in at the airport. Boarding passes must be collected from the designated eCheck-in collection desk at the perspective airport 30 minutes prior to departure. A printed copy of your eCheck-in confirmation must be presented at the collection counter. Passengers returning on the same day are able to check-in for both flights at once.
Children and infants
Infants under 2 years old fly for free but they must sit on your lap for the duration of the flight, each adult may only have one infant on their lap. Children under 12 years of age must be accompanied by an adult aged 16 years or older and adult fares apply for any children over 2 years of age.
